Medicine, waters and informatics are the main topics to be discussed during the next international events arranged as part of a plan for congresses and incentives tourism.
This branch’s director of the Cuba’s Bureau of Conventions (BCC is the abbreviation in spanish), Regino Cruz, said that this year the country will host more than 300 global meetings, many of which will be the seat of meetings for world institutions.
Last year, more than 35 thousand 500 foreigners attend to the events, as well as around 23 thousand incentive travellers.
In a meeting with the press, organized by BCC in the Triton Hotel, Carlos Arturo Rodríguez, commented that from November 7 to 10 the Havana’s Convention Center would host the 9th Cuban Congress on Surgery and the International Trauma Symposium.
Along with this event, the Regional Meeting of the Latin American Surgery Federation will be held. More than 300 attendees from 21 nations are expected.
Also, Cuba will host from August 2 to 4 the 3rd International Seminar on the Integral Use of Water, as said by Amneris Carrera, the president of its organizing Committee.
As it is expected, one of the most attractive meetings is the 12th Convention and International Fair Informatics 2007 (From February 12 to 16, 2007), also in the Conventions Center with 14 related events.
This meeting will count on with a business gathering, said Dania Murgado, who said that around a thousand and 200 delegates from more than 10 countries might attend, including hosts.
